Assessing the damage to Berry’s Creek: Companies will be asked to pay for lost natural resources
The federal government has begun to tally up the natural resources lost or damaged by contamination in Berry’s Creek, a twisting, marshy 6-mile tributary of the Hackensack River, so it can seek damage claims against 180 companies potentially responsible for the pollution.
